The Chinese formula Sang Ju Yin, also known by its English name Morus and Chrysanthemum Combination, belongs to the category of formulas that RELIEVE SUPERFICIAL WIND-HEAT, acting on syndromes of Wind-Heat Invasion of the Lung Channel; Superficial Wind-Heat Syndrome with predominance of Cough; Initial phase of Febrile Diseases with predominance of Cough.
Indication: Indicated for Superficial Wind-Heat Syndrome in the Wei Qi layer (Tracheitis…): Pronounced hoarse cough, greenish and/or yellow secretion, slight sore throat, red and painful eyes.
Actions: Promote Sweating to Relieve Surface Area; Eliminate Wind-Heat; Activate Lung Qi Flow inhibiting Cough.

Symptoms and signs: Pronounced hoarse cough, greenish and/or yellow sputum, fever, moderate aversion to cold wind, anhidrosis or slight perspiration (head), slight thirst, headache, mild sore throat, red and painful eyes, yellow secretions
Tongue: red (at the tip)
Tongue coating: white/yellow, thin
Pulse: shallow, rapid
