The Chinese Formula Qing Wei Tang, also known by its English name Coptidis and Rehmannia Combination, belongs to the category of formulas that PURIFY HEAT FROM THE ZHANG FU, acting on syndromes of Stomach Heat; Retained Stomach Heat rising to the Upper Burner (Meridian); Yang Ming Channel Heat (Stomach).

Indication: Indicated for Stomach Heat – Gastric Ulcer, H. Pylori: Halitosis, heartburn, burning sensation, Gastroesophageal reflux.

Actions: Purify Stomach Heat; Cool the Blood; Nourish Yin

Syndromes: Stomach Heat; Retained Stomach Heat rising to the Upper Burner (Meridian); Yang Ming Channel Heat (Stomach).

Symptoms and Signs: Burning epigastric pain, acid regurgitation, halitosis, bitterness in the mouth, excessive hunger, thirst (cold drinks), dry/inflamed/chapped/bleeding lips, tongue, or gums, loud belching, severe hiccups, nausea, yellow/foul/acidic vomit, gingivitis/sores in the mouth, gastroesophageal reflux, hematemesis, dental abscess radiating to the head.
