The Chinese Formula Ba Jen Tang, also known by its English name Angelica and Ginseng Combination, belongs to the category of formulas that TONIFY QI AND XUE, acting on syndromes of Qi and Xue Deficiency; Qi Deficiency (Lung and Spleen) and Xue Deficiency (Liver).
Indication: Indicated for Qi and Xue Deficiency – Chronic Illnesses, Convalescence, Postpartum, Uterine Hemorrhages, Anemia. Xue: Flickering scotomas, blurred vision, brittle nails and hair, dizziness, dry skin, pale mucous membranes. Qi: Asthenia, spontaneous sweating, weak voice, shortness of breath and cough on exertion.
Actions: Tonify Qi and Xue; Relieve Fatigue.
Syndromes: Qi and Xue Deficiency; Qi Deficiency (Lung and Spleen) and Xue Deficiency (Liver).
Symptoms and Signs: Pale skin, dry and dull skin, brittle hair and nails, weak voice, shortness of breath (dyspnea), dizziness, palpitations, loss of appetite, constipation, blurred vision, flickering scotomas, dry eyes, menstrual irregularities, paresthesia (upper and lower limbs).
Tongue: Pale.
Coating: Thin, white.
Pulse: Thin, weak.
