The Chinese Formula Bao He Wan, also known by its English name Citru and Crataegus Combination, belongs to the category of formulas that ELIMINATE FOOD ACCUMULATION, acting on syndromes of Food Stagnation; Food Accumulation.
Indication: Indicated for Indigestion/Alcoholic intoxication and/or “spoiled” /contaminated foods: Dyspepsia, Halitosis, Belching, Vomiting (foul-smelling/relieves gastric pain), Loss of Appetite, Gastric Fullness.
Actions: Eliminate Food Accumulation; Remove Stagnation and Circulate Stomach Qi; Restore the Descent of Stomach Qi; promote digestion.
Syndromes: Food Accumulation; Food Stagnation.
Symptoms and Signs: Pain in the epigastric region (worsened by pressure), feeling of distention, fullness, foul belching, acidic regurgitation, bad breath, stagnation/food accumulation (food poisoning), anorexia, vomiting of undigested food that relieves pain, loose stools or constipation.
Tongue: red
Coating: yellow, thick
Pulse: slippery, strong.
